NBA: No stars, no problem for the Brooklyn Nets

Even without their two star players, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 122-109 on Thursday at Barclays Center.

Joe Harris took advantage of the absence of the two stars to register 28 points. He was greatly helped by Caris Levert, who scored 22 points, in addition to getting 10 assists and seven rebounds.

For Philadelphia, Shake Milton had 24 points, while Joel Embiid added 20. It was just the second loss in nine games for the 76ers.

Cleveland s’en sort

In Memphis, the Cleveland Cavaliers continued their surprising start to the season with a sixth win in Game 10, a 94-90 win over the Grizzlies.

The “Cavs” took advantage of the dominant performance of Andre Drummond, who registered 22 points, in addition to amassing 15 rebounds.

For the Grizzlies, four players have scored 10 or more points, including Canada’s Dillon Brooks (11). The latter added a rebound and four assists to his record.
