NBA fines Jamal Murray $ 25,000

Jamal Murray will have to face the fine of 25,000 dollars that the NBA has imposed on him for hitting Tim Hardaway Jr. in the groin area, an action that occurred during the game played against the Dallas Mavericks.

The action occurred just with 4:51 minutes remaining to end the third quarter of the match. The Denver player fell on his back after a collision and when he got up he put his right arm between the legs of his rival, whom he seemed to hit due to the gestures made by the guard of the Texas franchise.

The referees initially chose to signal a normal foul, but after conducting the relevant video review they opted to change the penalty to a flagrant type 2 foul that resulted in the expulsion of the Nuggets player. Despite losing it for the remainder of the match, Mike Malone’s boys ended up winning 113-117.

Beyond this isolated mishap, Murray is making a good start to the season, currently measured by 19.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds on average.
