NBA: Damian Lillard on Curry tracks

What a comeback win for the Chicago Bulls!

The NBA franchise turned a game that was almost lost against the Portland Trail Blazers around their superstar Damian Lillard and won 111: 108.

The Bulls caught up with a 20-point deficit, which no team had previously managed in this admittedly still relatively young season.

The best scorer on the Bulls side was Coby White with 21 points. Since the young point guard also picked ten rebounds, he even managed a double-double.

Lillard on the trail of curry

At the Trail Blazers, the backcourt duo Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum were responsible for almost half of all Portland points as usual. Lillard had 24 points, McCollum even managed two more.

Lillard, however, had not had his best day and only hit six of his 17 attempts from the field. Especially from a distance, he weakened with the unaccustomed hit rate of 27 percent.

His three threes were enough to push him over 1,800 career threesomes. The 30-year-old only needed 622 games for this. According to ESPN only Stephen Curry needed less time with 545 players.

Jokic and Irving shine

Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic, who led his Denver Nuggets to a 123: 116 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, once again showed an outstanding performance. The Serb got 35 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.

The German international Isaiah Hartenstein was not used for the Nuggets, which only celebrated their third win in their seventh game of the season.

Without superstar Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets recently found their way back to success after two defeats. The Nets swept the Utah Jazz 130-96 off the court. Brooklyn’s Kyrie Irving scored 29 points, but Utah’s Donovan Mitchell was the top scorer with 31 points.

Durant is in a seven-day quarantine. The 32-year-old was in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Durant has tested negative for the past three days, but he has to take a number of other tests to play again.
