The newcomer spoke of the situation in the Rockets house during the podcast by Adrian Wojnarowski. Wood obviously spoke of James Harden, praising both him and the rest of the group:
“Believe it or not, the team chemistry was great. Since James (Harden) arrived, something has snapped in everyone. Especially since James and John (Wall) already knew each other before joining the team together. They already had a stable friendship, so it was great. Plus John and Boogie are good friends, so they get along well together. We have all become very close.
I think our only flaw is that we didn’t have enough time to train together, as a group. Either two guys are out, or James is out, or John is out. We never had this group available in full, except maybe a couple of games. The sky is the only limit for us and I believe we can take a leap forward in the Western Conference. “

According to several insiders, the situation at the Houston Rockets was becoming unbearable. James Harden’s exchange requests, his late arrival at the training camp, his poor fitness, seemed to undermine the serenity of the locker room. Christian Wood denied all of this.
