Legendary Broncos player Floyd Little dies

WASHINGTON.

He Legendary Denver Broncos player Floyd Little passed away Friday at age 78 after a battle with cancer, announced this Saturday the NFL Hall of Fame.

Little, nicknamed ‘The Franchise’, He was the Broncos’ first star player and between 1968 and 1973 had more yards from the scrimmage line than any other player in the NFL.

He Five-time Pro Bowler (All-Star Game) had nine NFL seasons, all with the Broncos, and accumulated 6,323 yards rushing on 1,641 carries, 215 receptions for 2,418 yards, 81 punt returns for 893 yards and 54 touchdowns.

Floyd Little was not only a good Hall of Fame running back, he was also a Hall of Fame person, “said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

The Little’s 44 jersey was retired by the Broncos. He was inducted into the American Soccer Hall of Fame in 2010.

Floyd Little was a true hero of the game, “said Hall of Fame President David Baker, highlighting his life and social work.
