LeBron James is the slowest running player this season

LeBron James is still a very strong contender for the MVP title this season thanks to a very good start with the Los Angeles Lakers. The King is living proof that there is no point in running too fast, as long as you are in control.

The NBA statistical tracker reveals that after a month of the season, LeBron is dead last in the ranking of average running speed on the league grounds, among players who have played at least 8 matches.

With 5.8 km / h average, the “Chosen One” occupies the throne of the slowest players, ahead of Blake Griffin (5.82 km / h) and James Harden (5.85 km / h). It is above all “thanks” to his low average speed in the defensive phases (5.26 km / h) that LeBron James has won this rather special first place. When it comes to attacking, on the other hand, the Lakers star is far from being one of the slowest basketball players (6.35 km / h).

The day LeBron James thought to himself: “I’m the GOAT”

Conversely, the fastest player in the league on his overall race average is the Japanese Yuta Watanabe of the Toronto Raptors. The latter played 10 matches with a running average of 7.66 km / h. It is in defense that the Nippon extinguishes the competition with a speed of 7.16 km / h. Watanabe only has 10 minutes to eat per game, but we can’t fault him for not giving his all every time. He is ahead Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat (7.58 km / h) and the Charlotte twins Caleb et Cody Martin, both averaging 7.53 km / h.

In the category of NBA marathon runners, it is Domantas Sabonis who leads the race with 4.6 km distance per match on average, ahead Zach LaVine (4.57) and Tyler Herro (4.52). The Lithuanian is also the one who has covered the most terminals since the start of the season with 45.7 km.
