With a renewed team, Kobe returned to the highest sports event to represent the USA Team and win a gold medal again. For his second Olympics, Kobe had less prominence, contributing 12.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists, ranking as the fourth best player on the “Stars and Stripes” team behind Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James.
Kobe had an extremely successful career with the USA Team: two gold medals at the Olympics, 2008 and 2012, and in 2007 he won the Gold in the FIBA Americas tournament held in Las Vegas Nevada. Kobe and his second Olympic Gold in London 2012 put an end to his career with the National Team with a spectacular record of 26 wins and zero losses.
