The Mexican Judo Federation announced its calendar of activities for this year and athletes from Hidalgo in the specialty are waiting for the competitions in which they will be listed.
The activities will begin with the National Technical Congress for coaches virtually on February 27 and 28 and the first competition will be held from March 4 to 7, the National Tournament “Prof. Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi ”for the Cadets, Junior and Adults categories in Guadalajara, Jalisco, which would be the first competition for the State Selection of the entity that is still mourning the sensitive death of its coach and president of the Association, Arturo Flores Pérez.
The next stop of the State Selection will be the second chapter of Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi but for Children’s categories, this will be held in Aguascalientes from April 8 to 11.
This sport also has its hand up to seek an opportunity to participate in the first edition of the Cali Valle 2021 Junior Pan American Games, whose qualifiers will be on April 3 at the Junior Cup in San Juan, Puerto Rico, confirmation of athletes is expected Hidalgo who could attend.
These qualifiers will have 5 more editions, on April 10 in Managua, Nicaragua and on April 22 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; and in May on the 1st, 13th and 20th in Panama, Lima (Peru), and Guayaquil, Ecuador.
For national teams, the Individual Adult Pan-American Championship will be held on April 15 and 16 in Córdoba, Argentina; the Pan American Open in Santo Domingo on August 24 and 25 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; of the latter, with four more editions in Córdoba, Argentina (May 1 and 2), Santiago de Chile (May 8 and 9), Lima, Peru (May 15 and 16), and Guayaquil, Ecuador (22 and 23 May), all of them qualifying for the Olympic Games.
The calendar is completed with two Pan American Championships in Cali, Colombia, in Cadet and Junior categories on May 25 and 29 and the Boca Club National Tournament, in Boca del Río, Veracruz, on August 14 and 15.
