The golfer from Barrika (Vizcaya) will debut his new clubs at the ‘Sentry Tournament of Champions’ that opens this weekend the PGA Tour season on the island of Maui (Hawaii), restricted to golfers who have won a tournament this season previous.
Rahm has already had the opportunity to test his new clubs and assured that he was “impressed during the testing process”, according to his official website.
For the Basque, this agreement means the reunion with a brand that he already used during his time at Arizona State University, where he was trained by Tim Mickelson, brother of five-time major champion Phil Mickelson, with whom John Rahm will now share the same brand of material.
Mickelson, winner of three Augusta Masters, a PGA Championship and a British Open, was clear that Rahm would achieve his current success for a long time, to the point that he bet in 2016 that he would reach the world ‘top 10’ in just a year, something that the Biscayan achieved in May 2017, becoming the fifth youngest player to achieve it in history.
For the Callaway brand, having the Spanish golfer allows it to have a great figure to promote its material, particularly in the European market.
