Inter Will Not Loan Eriksen for Free to Tottenham

Jakarta

Tottenham Hotspur cannot sign Christian Eriksen for free in the transfer market this winter, because Inter Milan did not allow him.

Calciomercato reported that Eriksen was never dropped from Inter’s selling list. He was invited to go in order to increase his playing minutes. Tottenham are also interested in bringing Eriksen home. The problem is, Inter are reluctant to let go for free.

The reason was that they had to spend 27 million euros to redeem Eriksen, even though at that time he only had six months remaining on his contract in north London. These are Inter’s business rules that Tottenham must adhere to.

What about the loan process? The same. Inter will not give out free loans. Tottenham are still charged with borrowing costs, plus full payment of Eriksen’s salary, which reached 7.5 million Euros per season.

But that condition only applies to Tottenham. For other clubs who are interested, they can borrow Eriksen for free. But once again, Eriksen’s salary will be borne by the club that recruited him.

Apart from Tottenham, there are other Premier League clubs who are also interested in Eriksen, but so far there have been no concrete steps related to Eriksen’s exit from Giuseppe Meazza.

Eriksen has only played a total of 20 minutes in the last seven Serie A matches. That was when Inter lost 1-2 to Sampdoria on 6 January. The rest, he is sitting pretty on the bench or not included in Antonio Conte’s squad list.

This season, Eriksen has also played in full for Inter only once, namely in the 2-1 win over Fiorentina in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia last week. At that time, he played 90 minutes plus 30 minutes of extra rounds.
