From the Departmental Directorate of Health it is reported that, in relation to covid 19 to date, Salto has twenty-seven active cases. All having the disease at home, with mild symptoms. On the other hand, six positive tests were received, four correspond to contacts of existing cases and two are being carried out an epidemiological study. In relation to all the positive cases, there are approximately 200 people in isolation. These are intra-family and work outbreaks. The population is asked that, given the increase in cases in the country and department, all those who are waiting for a result must comply with isolation, the lack of it carries legal sanction. It is requested to reduce the circles of social contact, the time of meetings, the permanent use of masks, physical distancing, ventilation and hygiene. Without using restrictive measures in social mobility, personal prevention is the only tool to reduce the increase in infections. It is urged not to attend events or social activities to avoid crowds, especially in closed spaces.
AT COUNTRY LEVEL: 634 NEW CASES
According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 4640 analyzes were carried out yesterday and 634 new cases of Covid-19 were detected.
Of the 634 new cases, 377 are from Montevideo, 97 from Canelones, 44 from San José, 20 from Rivera, 17 from Maldonado, 11 from Tacuarembó, 9 from Cerro Largo, 9 from Durazno, 8 from Artigas, 8 from Rocha, 7 from Colonia, 6 from Salto, 6 from Treinta y Tres, 5 from Florida, 5 from Paysandú, 3 from Río Negro, 1 from Lavalleja and 1 from Soriano. Regarding the epidemiological trace, the outbreaks reported in recent days remain. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
FROM MARCH 13
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 644,768 tests have been processed and 19,753 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 13,990 have already been recovered. Yesterday 12 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. Eight patients from Montevideo aged 94, 93, 80, 79, 76, 74, 72 and 70 were treated, 3 from Canelones aged 87, 82 and 72 years old, and one patient from Soriano aged 87 years. So far there are 193 deaths from Covid-19 in Uruguay.
CURRENT CASES
There are currently 5,570 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 74 of them are in intensive care. Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 1,189 correspond to health personnel. 1023 of them have already recovered, 163 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died. As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.
