“I am thinking about training to get out of failure”

An atypical course. Futsal coach at Le Mans FC, Pierre-Cédric Tia is also the author of a thesis on “The paradoxes of excellence”. He drew a concept from it, that of “football”. Getting out of failure is his quest. A lively and fascinating interview in this #USBFOOT.

Pierre-Cédric Tia is 32 years old, a football CV as long as an arm, but it is with the pen that he questions the most. A thesis on “The paradoxes of excellence” and the concept of “football” make him a valuable and knowledgeable interlocutor when it comes to talking about failure in football. In training in particular, which concerns some 2,500 young people. The figures are relentless: only 10% of apprentice footballers pursue a professional career. What about the remaining 90%? And how to get out of what is experienced as a failure?

I am in the process of building new training modules, to make them aware (to young people) that they have other aptitudes apart from sports practice.
