Edouard Mendy still hit the ball with his fingertips, but Chelsea’s goalie was ahead of the opening goal The Citizens not occur.

The goal seemed to give the visitors wings, as barely three minutes later Phil Foden doubled the score on a pass from De Bruyne after another wonderful attack. Raheem Sterling hit the post from a counter, but De Bruyne was alert and shot the rebound hard. Chelsea did not get a grip on the great game of the opponent and could be happy that it was ‘only’ with a 3-0 deficit to the tea.
