Freimanis and Bērziņš score 29 points together, “Stelmet Enea” wins in Tallinn – Basketball

With a result of 86:79 (21:20, 26:24, 19:28, 20: 7), the Polish club beat the Tallinn “Kalev” / “Cramo” team coached by Robert Stelmacher and Akseelis Vairog, for which Jānis Kaufmanis scored five points.

Freimanis spent 33 minutes and 52 seconds on the court in the duel, during which he scored four of the nine two-point shots, three of the four “threes” and one of the two free throws. He also won 12 rebounds, scored three times, made four mistakes, twice broke the rules, provoked two remarks and scored 22 efficiency points, which was the best score in the team.

Meanwhile, Bērziņš broadcast his only two-point shot and three of the four long shots in the basket in 23 minutes and 58 seconds. He also had three rebounds, three assists, two block throws, one note and 18 efficiency points, the third best performance per unit.

Kaufman, on the other hand, spent 20 minutes and 55 seconds on the boards, sending only one of the eight long shots and both two “penalties” to the basket. The Latvian basketball player also won one rebounded ball, scored twice, made two mistakes, violated the rules once, provoked one note and was the worst in the team (-2).

Ife Lundbergs stood out with 21 points and eight assists, while Markus Kina had 24 points.

The team represented by Freimanis and Bērziņš with nine victories in 16 games takes the fifth place, but Kaufmanis’ team with two successes in 11 fights is in the 11th position.

As in the previous season, 13 teams will start in this regular tournament – nine from Russia, as well as one unit each from Estonia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Poland. For the second season in a row, the “VEF Rīga” team is not participating in the tournament.

The 2019/2020 league season ended prematurely due to a pandemic caused by the coronavirus, without finding out the champion. At the time of the termination of the championship, the first place was taken by the “Khimki” of the Moscow region, but the second place was taken by the Moscow CSKA.
