With a great performance from Jerami Grant, the Pistons hit one of the leaders.
Detroit Pistons defeated by 110-105 a Phoenix Suns and gave him his third loss after forcing extra time. The Michigan franchise prevailed against the Arizona team, who already have two lost games in the last three they played.
Jerami Grant stood out with 31 points and 10 rebounds for her team. Blake Griffin also had a good production with 16 units and 12 boards. For Phoenix, Devin Booker had 23 points and Langston Galloway had 17 in a single quarter.
The duel started evenly but Phoneix made the difference on the closing from the outside shot to go ahead (29-20). In the second period, Galloway contributed 14 points to increase the lead and take the maximum difference of 23 points. Even so, the Pistons reacted and managed to go to rest only twelve units behind (56-48).
Little by little, Detroit began to get closer in the third quarter and in the last period, already without having a difference of more than two baskets, it prevented the Suns from scoring in the last minute and a half and with nine seconds left, Mason Plumlee forced the extension. In overtime, Grant contributed eight points and didn’t lead to another tight finish.
In this way, Phoenix is still at the top of the West but next to the Lakers, both with 6 wins and 3 losses. While Detroit got its second triumph since the start of the season and can already boast a better record than Toronto.
