The culé team had no problems to secure a new victory and match the CSKA Moscow line.
Barcelona exceeded 72-60 a Red Star for the day 21 of the Euroleague and was once again the leader of the tournament. With the defeat of CSKA Moscú, and with the achievement of the fourth consecutive victory, Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team took the first position together with the Russian team by equaling their 15 victories and 6 defeats.
Cory Higgins was the top scorer of the game with 14 points and Pierre Oriola also had an outstanding performance with 12 points and 7 rebounds. On the part of the Serbian team, Ognjen Dobric was the best contributor in scoring with 11 goals.
From an intense defense, the Catalan team already marked differences in the first period with a 21-11. However, being conditioned by the fouls in the second quarter and with a reaction from the Serbs, the duel seemed to be open as they went into the break 35-31.
However, the second half was all for the Blaugrana team. Nick Calathes, with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists on the roster, led the team in the third quarter to get the biggest advantage of the match, of 21 points. And, although Red Star shortened distances, the last period was nothing more than a procedure.
