Cruciate ligament tear! Season out for Thomas Bryant of the Washington Wizards

Washington Wizards center Thomas Bryant suffered a partial rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. This was announced by the franchise on Monday. The wizards did not provide any more detailed information about a necessary operation or the downtime.

According to information from Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN Bryant is out for the rest of the season. He pulled the injury in the loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday when he collided with two Heat players after just two minutes and went down. After several minutes he hobbled into the catacombs.

“I only know one thing about TB: He’s a great boy who works hard, plays with passion and gives you everything he has. Let’s hope for the best,” said Wizards head coach Scott Brooks before the diagnosis. Bryant ran up to his injury as one of two players in all ten games of the season for Washington.

He showed strong performances and came up with the best statistics of his career so far: Bryant scored 14.3 points, sank 64.8 percent of his throws and grabbed 6.1 rebounds in an average of 27.1 minutes. He is in the second year of a three-year contract that grossed him $ 25 million.
