Cole Beasley played the postseason with a broken leg

During some passages of the AFC championship between Bills and Chiefs a little unusual image was captured by the television screens, Cole Beasley he was cared for by the Buffalo Medical Corps on the sidelines. Now the reason for the receiver’s problems has been revealed.

The 31-year-old Beasley reported that he played the last three games of the Bills ─playoff matches against Colts, Ravens and Chiefs─ with a fibula fracture. He added that the meeting where he suffered the most discomfort was the visit of Indianapolis in the wild card round.

“The first game I played was bad, but after that I took some medicine and resisted it,” he explained. “There was no way I was getting lost a postseason game“.

Beasley’s desire to play in the playoffs is remarkable. Since coming to the NFL in 2012, signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, He has been in five different postseason appearances, three with Dallas and a couple more with the Bills.

It should be noted that despite playing impaired in the postseason, Beasley managed to record 14 receptions and 145 yards, with no touchdown, with Buffalo. These stats rank him as the organization’s second-most productive receiver during the playoffs, just short of Stefon Diggs’ 311 yards.

Important asset

Since arriving at Bills Stadium in 2019 free agency, Beasley has become one of Josh Allen’s most trusted receivers. In couple of campaigns in NY it has ended as the organization’s second-most productive wide receiver with 778 yards last season and 967 in 2020 (behind only John Brown and Diggs). Furthermore, in that period it is the player with the most touchdown receptions with 10, escorted by Brown with nine and Diggs with eight.
