Caribes and Magellan to finish settling accounts

The semifinals of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League will be in full swing and Caribes de Anzoátegui and Navegantes del Magallanes will start a pitched battle in search of one of the tickets to the grand finale of the 2020-2021 season.

The Tribe dominated the Central Division almost at will, taking first place to complete their access for 11 consecutive seasons to the playoffs of the Creole circuit.

For its part, the Turkish Ship had it more complicated in the western one and it was not until the last day that it achieved advancement to the decisive round, even when it did not play the 40 games on the calendar.

A duel of old acquaintances in the last decade. They met in consecutive finals (2013-214 / 2014-2015) with one trophy per side, however, the previous campaign Caribes left out the Navigators in the wild card game that gave a pass to the semifinals, so those led by Carlos García want to take revenge.

This harvest, the particular series was equal to two and of all, there will be a winner here.

The balance

This couple. On one side are the filibuster arms; they were the second-best mark in the league collectively, and their relievers received the fewest runs in the regular round. They will be guided by their ace, Erick Leal.

On the other hand, Caribes was one of two teams to hit above .300 (.302) and five of their sluggers ended up hitting more than .300, led by Willians Astudillo and his .379 points.

The Tribe finished with the best effectiveness among the starters and the Valencians have the power of their imports, Reynaldo Rodríguez and Cade Gotta, also adding the leader in home runs (8) of the league, patrolman Alberth Martinez.

So it can be concluded that this semifinal looks even, with teams that have arguments.
