Bulls stop Oladipo in Houston debut, win 125-120

Zach LaVine scored 33 points and the Chicago Bulls overcame a good effort from Victor Oladipo in his Houston debut to beat the Rockets 125-120 on Monday night.

LaVine scored nine points in the final minutes of the third period as Chicago started the fourth quarter with a 93-86 lead.

The Bulls fired enough shots at the end to win their second game on consecutive nights after losing four in a row by four or fewer points.

Lauri Markkanen finished with 18 points. The Finnish power forward hit a 3-pointer in the final minutes to extend his team’s lead to six points and help Chicago squeeze out a tight win after an easy win over Dallas on Sunday.

Oladipo looked good in his Houston debut with 32 points. The two-time All-Star forward came to the Rockets from Indiana in a four-team trade that brought James Harden to Brooklyn last week after he said the Rockets weren’t good enough.
