Pauletta Foppa’s teammates, who chased the score, woke up too late to win, but are keeping their chances to grab one of the first two places in the group, qualifying for the quarter-finals. With this draw, the Brestoises downgraded to third place with 14 points in 10 matches, two lengths behind the untouchable Hungarians of Györ and one of the Muscovites of CSKA.
