The score at half-time (50-34), largely in favor of Châlons-Reims against Boulogne-Levallois, was surprising. In particular because the Champenois were displayed before the meeting in 17th place (out of 18) in the Jeep Élite, while the Metropolitans had until then played the leading roles (3rd). Despite their completely failed start to the game, the fault of a beleaguered defense, the Ile-de-France residents completely reversed the game in favor of a 27-6 (including a 20-0!) Slammed in the only third quarter (56-61, 30th ).
Disoriented by this thunderous return, the locals let go in the last period to concede a logical defeat (73-87) against a physically superior opponent, and especially much more skillful at three points (12/20, 60%). Note also the excellent success of Bastien Pinault (19 points, 5/6 long distance, best scorer of the game) for the visitors.
In the general classification, Boulogne-Levallois took advantage of this success to come back to Dijon in second place (8 wins and 2 losses). The Châlons-Reims victory counter remains blocked at a success (17th), one more than Boulazac (0 victory – 6 defeats).
