Big win in third game, but no group win for water polosters on OKT

Two tickets to Tokyo

This week, the OKT in Trieste will be competing for the last two tickets for the Olympic Games. The Orange, together with Italy, Greece and Hungary, is one of the favorites for the last two starting tickets.

The Netherlands is in group A with Slovakia (22-2 win), Italy (7-7) and France (15-6 win). Group B includes Greece, Hungary, Israel and Kazakhstan. Greece became group winner in that group. Hungary finished second.

All eight participating countries will advance to the quarter-finals, in which both group winners will face the number four from the other group. The numbers two play against the numbers three. The tickets for Tokyo are then at stake in the semifinals. Only the finalists qualify for the Games.

United States, Spain, Canada, Australia, Russia, South Africa, China and Japan have already qualified for Tokyo.
