Baseball, the New Black Panthers focus on young people

The New Black Panthers of Ronchi dei Legionari have renewed the board of directors. The project started will have its continuity of work with the reconfirmation of the president Mario Besio and the posts of vice presidents assumed by Mauro Lubrano e Gino Pellegrino (new councilor). Mauro Berini was reconfirmed sporting director, the same goes for Alessandro Stabile as treasurer e Alessandra Devetag in the Secretary. The management is completed by the external communications officer Flavio Fredella and advisors Monica Domio e Ervino Pizziga.

For the 2021 competitive year, the senior team has been enrolled in the A2 series championship, while two other teams will play in the youth championships.

The composition of the technical cadres has also been defined. Senior team: manager (confirmed) Michele Pilutti, coaches Sergio Furlan (return to Ronchi) e Jesus Torres, pitching coach Dino Soranzio; Under 18: manager Alberto Furlani (another return), coaches Sandro Carlet e Davide Carlet, pitching coach Dino Soranzio; Under 12: manager Deborah Zanetti, coaches Raffaele Serra e Jesus Torres.

To date, the composition of the major league or the starting date has not been defined by the Federation. The most probable solution would seem to unify the A1 and A2 series championships, dividing the tournament into different groups, with two phases and a very final group. Thus, the New Black Panthers would initially find themselves playing in a group of neighbors, much easier to manage.

The date of the play balls (provided that pandemic emergencies allow it) should be early May. Given the situation of the composition of the championships still fluid, it appears premature at this moment to be able to talk about ambitions or strengthening of the team. Certainly, in line with the policy followed by the company in recent years, space will be given to the local nursery: the hard core is represented by the players who in the last year triumphed in the tournament among the best regional teams “Giaguaro Miani” (no team del FVG took part in top national championships), with the inclusion of elements from the Under 18 Vice-Champions of Italy 2020.

Alberto Furlani was appointed coach of the National Under 12 by the Federation, thus continuing his experience as a coach at the top of the youth sector. Furthermore, manager Michele Pilutti has recently been the protagonist, as has already happened in the past, of online interventions, promoted by the Federations, dedicated to the training of Managers and coaches.
