Attack first and avoid mistakes: Danry’s keys against the Caribs

Magallanes and Caribes have met multiple times in the postseason and even battled for the title in a couple of finals. The Turks know very well that their rival is a dangerous team and that is precisely why they chose Danry Vasquez in the draft, to fight power with power.

Vasquez, who finished with the second-best average in the championship by hitting .414 with his Sharks, fell victim to the Orientals in the last semifinals. And that is why he is very clear about what it takes to fight.

“(Caribes) is a very good team, we have to work as a team and do the little things, we can’t make any mistakes that they can take advantage of,” Vásquez commented exclusively with Líder.

“We have a very good group, a good team and I know we can do the job,” insisted the outfielder who was included as a fourth batter in manager Carlos Garcia’s order.

Among other things, Vasquez confessed grateful to Magallanes for the opportunity to participate in the postseason and insisted on the importance of not getting carried away by anxiety.

“I took on this challenge with a lot of commitment and a lot of responsibility … I’m going to give 100%,” he said.

“The idea is to go game by game, turn by turn, I think that is what has brought me success and good results in the last two seasons,” he added, recalling that he was also one of the best of last year when flirting for .368.

His family and his son are his greatest motivation and the necessary fuel to want to continue adding successes in the LVBP, where he already has a .296 average for life.
