After 40 years of operation, Covid closes the Club Casablanca Atizapán

The pandemic of Covid-19 finished with Club Casablanca Atizapán, with more than 40 years of operation and considered one of the places with the greatest history in tennis in the State of Mexico.

Since last December 15, the club notified its clients of the decision, after the closure due to the pandemic caused the cancellation of a significant number of memberships, which made the sports center inoperable.

“Unfortunately five months after reopening, a very low number of memberships returned, which makes the losses unsustainable, so it is not feasible to continue providing the service,” says the organization’s message to its users.

Club Casablanca Atizapán It planned to continue serving its customers until December 31, 2020; However, with the announcement of the application of the red traffic light in the entity, on December 18 its facilities were closed permanently.

Considered one of the sports centers with more tradition, Club Casablanca Atizapán had its main attraction in its tennis courts, where tournaments were held periodically.

In social networks, some of its clients have expressed their sadness at the closure of the sports center, although they also emphasize that its maintenance was neglected for years, which had affected its operation.

This place belongs to the Casablanca Organization, which currently maintains its sports centers in Satelite, Lomas Verdes, Atizapán and Santa Mónica, Los Mochis and Juriquilla in operation. Before the pandemic, the firm had also recorded the closure of its clubs in Cancun and San Ángel.
