Mexican basketball suffered a regrettable loss, Rafael “Caballo” Heredia, one of the players who proudly defended the jersey of the Mexican National Team in the Olympic Games, passed away at 83 years of age.

Rafael Heredia had the opportunity to play two editions of the Olympic Games with the national team, participated in Tokyo 64 and Mexico 68 alongside other legends such as Arturo Guerrero, Manuel Raga or Antonio Ayala, among others. He also participated in the Central American Games and the Pan American Games.

He will always be remembered as one of those players who gave themselves up for Mexico every opportunity he had to wear the colors green, white and red. Rest in peace.
