Wrestling star Jon Huber aka Brodie Lee dies aged 41

It was his wife who announced the sad news. Via an Instagram post published on Sunday, Manda Huber made public the death of her husband wrestling star Jonathan Huber, also known under the pseudonym Brodie Lee or Luke Harper, the day before. It was the aftermath of a lung problem unrelated to Covid-19 that took away the only 41-year-old wrestler.

“I never wanted to write those words. My heart is broken. The world saw him as the amazing Brodie Lee but he was my best friend, my husband and also the greatest father possible. No words can express the love that I feel (for him) or how broken I am right now. He died surrounded by relatives after a fierce battle with a lung problem unrelated to Covid, ”wrote Manda Huber.

“A fierce and captivating talent”

Brodie Lee first rose to prominence in the early 2010s as a wrestler in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), the world’s largest wrestling events company, before joining AEW (All Elite Wrestling) in 2019. He had notably won several champion’s belts.

The AEW obviously paid tribute to the fighter in the wake of the announcement of his tragic disappearance. “Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and loved – a fierce and captivating talent, a caring mentor and a very kind soul who radically contradicts his personality as Brodie Lee,” the organization said in particular. We send all our love and we support his family today and forever ”. Just like the WWE, which evokes its “unforgettable career”.

Across the world, wrestling fans have also multiplied the messages to honor the memory of Jon Huber.
