Wayne Rooney’s son Kai is starting to follow in his father’s footsteps: he has just entered Manchester United training center at the age of 11. Kai is the oldest of four children of Rooney, a former ManU star striker, who posted a photo of his son’s signing on social media, with the comment: “Pride day. Kai signs for Manchester United. Keep working hard, my son ”. Rooney, 38, is now an interim coach at Derby, a club that plays in the Championship (England D2). He arrived at Manchester United in 2004 from Everton, the other big club in Liverpool. In 13 years at ManU, Rooney scored 253 goals in 559 appearances for the Red Devils, and in the process he broke legendary Bobby Charlton’s scoring record in January 2017. As for Coleen Rooney, wife of Wayne Rooney, she wrote on Instagram: “It’s a special night. Well done Kai. I love you and I am so proud of you. Keep doing your best ”.
