The Ravens will be calling another quarterback to assist Lamar Jackson.
Trace McSorley was put in injured reserve with a knee injury in their win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday night.
With veteran Robert Griffin III (thigh) already on the injured list, uncovered rookie Tyler Huntley is next to become the No. 2 quarterback. The Utah product has been on the training team all season and has been in for one game but didn’t take a snapshot.
If McSorley is added to the injured reserve, the last three regular season games will be missed. He’d seen action in the last two games, relieving Griffin in the second half against the Pittsburgh Steelers and relieving Jackson Monday night after going into the locker room with cramps in the fourth quarter.
McSorley was injured when his knee buckled while trying to cut a cut down. Jackson rushed back on the field and at the next game, completing a 44-yard touchdown pass for Marquise Brown in fourth place that helped Baltimore win.
McSorley saw his first game action this season after spending his 2019 rookie year as No. 3 quarterback. Penn State’s sixth round completed three out of ten passes for 90 yards and one touchdown. He linked up with Brown on a 70-yard touchdown in Pittsburgh.
In other squad moves, two players were excluded from the training team – Tommy Bohanon and Braxton Hoyett.
