Tiger Woods is warming up with his 11 year old son, Charlie, and the similarities are remarkable

The two were a mirror image of each other as they warmed up on the Thursday before the PNC Championship – an end-of-season event where professionals meet up with a family member of their choice.

From the swing to the casual admiration of their shot, the couple looked perfectly in sync. But Woods Snr. does not put pressure on his son to fill his shoes.

“I have so much fun watching him enjoy it and enjoy the game,” he said.

“He’s played junior golf tournaments and was up there with people filming him. This is another world we live in now. Everyone has a phone.”

“They are very similar”

The pair will face Justin Thomas and his father Mike in the tournament, and the former world number 1 expects the youngster to attract attention this weekend.

“They’re very similar, I mean, who wouldn’t want to be like your dad if your dad was Tiger Woods? He definitely has all of the mannerisms,” says Thomas, a family friend who says Charlie already has his competition Father’s edge, told reporters.

“I think the folks at home and you all will get pretty good entertainment watching him spin the club and putts in and fist pumps.”

However, like Tiger, he said the most important thing was for Charlie to enjoy the game and not feel any pressure to live up to his father’s reputation on the golf course.

“The two things that are the most incredible to me are how much speed he has. I mean, he’s a little person and he gets this club moving quickly and his golf knowledge is amazing,” he said. “I understand his father is Tiger, but he’s 11.”

“It’ll be interesting to see what happens to him because he’s got a lot of talent. What is cool looks like he’s enjoying the game. He’s not upset about a bad shot.”
