They made Paris FC: players and records

Created in 1969, allied with the departure of PSG, Paris FC celebrated its 50th anniversary last year and continues to grow. Several personalities have marked its rich history. Today, the third installment of our series with portraits of iconic players.

In its history, Paris FC has welcomed several French internationals (Jean Djorkaeff, Louis Floch, René Charrier, Jean Noël Huck …), foreigners (Spiegler, Schilcher Sekularac …) recognized players from L1 who have come to end their careers (Ruben Umpierrez, Omar Da Fonseca…) and trained more than fifty future pros (Mickaël Madar, Mamadou Sakho, Lassana Diarra, Ibrahim Konate, Nordi Mukiele, Wylan Cyprien, Karl Toko-Ekambi…). We chose to retain those who hold the records: goals (Beltramini), matches (Demarconnay) and longevity (Laachi).

Lamri Laachi, le fidèle

From L1 in 1973 to the Honorary Division in 1985, Lamri Laachi has known everything at Paris FC where he has spent almost all of his career (13 seasons). “I entered the club in wards and I never left ( Editor’s note: apart from two seasons after the merger with Racing ) and I played in all divisions. I had proposals, particularly from Lyon or Monaco, but I was very attached to the PFC. I considered my presidents Christian Amara and Roger Zeppelini as my dads and them as their sons. “Having become a taxi driver at the end of his career, Laachi (69) cites the friendly against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in 1976 and the rise to L1 in 1978 as his fondest memories. “The PFC is my club of heart, I remained faithful to it, I never divorced and cut the link. To see him again in L1 would be wonderful. “

Jean-François Beltramini, the mason scorer

With 37 goals scored between 1975 and 1979 (including 14 in L1), Jean-François Beltramini, who died in 2014 at 66, is ahead of Loulou Floch (33 goals) as the top scorer in the history of the PFC. Performing in L2 with Mantes, this 14th child of a family of 16, immigrant from northern Italy, he hatched late, at almost 30 years old.

After the PFC, he joined the PSG where he was consecrated top scorer (13) in 1979-1980 then became a real legend in Rouen (54 goals in 4 years). The goleador left the image of a “surface attacker, skilful and cunning”. At 14 years old, very far from training centers, he was on construction sites with his father. At the end of his career, he had resumed the profession of his beginnings, a mason, and created his company “JFB” in his town of always, Les Clayes-sous-Bois (78) where the stadium now bears his name.

Vincent Demarconnay, loyalty rewarded

Against Guingamp, goalkeeper Vincent Demarconnay, 37, played his 273rd league game with Paris FC. Arrived in 2008, he has just exceeded the record of Lamri Laachi (270). “This record is what people started telling me about. It proves my loyalty and my attachment to this club whereas when I arrived from my province (he is from Vienne), I only thought of doing a few years in Paris. But I found my personal and sporting balance there because the club has entered a new era, growing every year. “

If his career has been marked by a few difficult seasons (injuries, coaches who relegated him to number 2), Demarconnay has always shown perseverance. Elected best goalkeeper in L2 in 2019, he is still playing at a very high level this season. Before a scheduled reconversion within the club, he would still see himself playing at least an additional season, or even more …
