BOLASPORT.COM – Managing Director of the Yamaha MotoGP Team, Lin Jarvis, fully believes that he has made the right decision by expelling Jorge Lorenzo as a test racer alias test rider.

Position test rider Yamaha now belongs to the former British MotoGP racer, Cal Crutchlow.

Quoted from Motorsport.com, Lin Jarvis felt his decision to bring in Crutchlow as a test racer was the right thing.

Jarvis believes that feedback from Crutchlow and regular Yamaha riders in MotoGP will be a solution to the grip problems the team has experienced this year.

“Next year, bringing in Cal Crutchlow to the team is a sign of our intention (to improve),” said Jarvis.

“We really believe we’ve made a very, very good choice with Cal. I’m sure Cal is a real worker, he’s really hungry to get caught up in this project.”

“We will not make the same mistake twice, we will definitely run a more intensive testing program next year and we are sure, with this change in technique, we have a lot of information starting this year,” he explained.

“So, our engineers will change the chassis next year and they will work to fix this problem.”

“Coupled with the feedback from Cal and our own pre-season tests, we are pretty sure we can fix this problem next year,” said Jarvis again.
