BOLASPORT.COM – There are interesting facts about the Newell’s Old Boys jersey worn by Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi in his celebrations.

Lionel Messi also contributed one goal in Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Osasuna in the 11th week of the 2020-2021 Spanish League.

Playing at Camp Nou on Sunday (29/11/2020), the owner of six Ballon d’Or scored the final goal in the 73rd minute.

The captain then celebrated by opening the shirt to show off the Newell’s Old Boys jersey number 10.

The action was a tribute to the late legend of the Argentine national team, Diego Maradona, who died on November 25, 2020.

According to the Sport report, the jersey that Messi wore when celebrating turned out to be from a collector named Sergio Fernandez.

Fernandez had the opportunity to give Messi a Newell’s Old Boys shirt at the 2018 World Cup.
