The NBA report: cross-media element of the narrative of the most beautiful championship in the world

When with the IQUII sport unit we started working on the data of Italian basketball, we did it because we realized that we lacked a useful tool, a report that could give an overview of the activity. digital of the clubs in relation also to the performances from the field.

The data can help the narration of events, measure the involvement of fans and immediately reach the stakeholders of the sports world, both on the business and editorial side. More and more the data is a reference for growth, measurement of the pulse of the actions that each club builds and declines on the web in order to complete what is life on the pitch, the result, the match, the events in the stadiums and arenas.

Today, that sport has suffered a halt earlier and a slowdown in the present, observing the data that revolve around clubs, players and sponsors of the sport business, helps even more to understand how this whole world is evolving and in continuous technological transformation and digital.

Almost two years have passed since the first edition of the report on Italian basketball in February 2019 and the greatest satisfaction, today, is to observe what has become over the course of the editions “The European Basket Club Report”: a reference point for national and foreign basketball. In February 2020, on the eve of this difficult global situation, we integrated the report with the Euroleague and, overall, we arrived at the 12th edition of what is just one of the examples of reports that the IQUII Sport unit produces.

We started in September 2017 with the European football report and today, considering the editions that alternate during the year, a dedicated team develops data collection, analysis and design of 6 different reports: men’s football (club, player and sponsor Europeans) women’s football (female clubs and players) from volleyball to basketball for a total of 41 publications per year.

The challenge today becomes even greater: the Report NBA it is added to the 6 scheduled reports and, in fact, becomes the analysis studio that makes us cross the ocean and reach the USA. This is why we decided to make it a cross-media product that manages to have the widest range through all communication technologies and to carry out this activity we have chosen to walk this path with Superbasket, in fact the longest-running and authoritative magazine, narrator of basketball Worldwide. From paper to digital and still passing through social networks, the Superbasket.it and Americansuperbasket.it platforms, crossing every border and continuously remedying the means of communication.

This is meant to be the vision of the global basketball of the future.
