The Mavericks recently signed a $ 2.6 million one-season contract with 36-year-old Bareu, but was subsequently deducted. In this way, the team’s owner Mark Kuben wanted to thank the basketball player for his contribution to the club, because the guaranteed contract concluded by the defender ensures that he also receives remuneration in case of deduction.

Barea plans to end his career this season to start coaching later. He proved himself well at the training camp, but wants to entrust the roles of the Mavericks reserve to Jane Branson and Third Berks.

On Thursday, Barea was put on the vulnerable list, but on Friday, the Mavericks announced that they had hired Lee.

Barea averaged 7.7 points in 29 matches last season and scored 3.9 times. The Puerto Rican-born basketball player has represented the Mavericks for 11 seasons during his career, becoming the 2011 NBA champion. He has also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, 35-year-old Lee spent the previous two seasons with the Mavericks, the last of which scored 4.5 points and made 1.3 assists in 22 matches.

He, like Baream before, has a big role to play outside the pitch.

Lee also played with Porziņģis in the New York “Knicks” team, but both basketball players entered the “Mavericks” team in exchange. Lee has also represented the Orlando Magic, New Jersey Nets, Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies and Charlotte Hornets.

The new NBA season will begin on December 22, but the first test matches will take place on Friday.
