These are hours of great uncertainty that are experienced in world tennis, with all the actors involved negotiating conscientiously in order to have a definitive calendar designed with which solutions are offered to as many tournaments as possible. With the delay of Open de Australia 2021, there are two events that may be most affected and that seem to be most threatened by the health situation due to coronavirus in their respective locations: Indian Wells y Miami. Thus, some authorized voices already indicate that the Californian tournament could be held after the US Open 2021, hoping that the vaccine has stabilized things, while the Miami Open 2021 could be played in a different venue and it is not ruled out that even in another country.
Indian Wells could be postponed after Us Open.
This hypothesis is currently under consideration. The reasoning is simple: it’s hoped that COVID-19 situation gets better over the months.
