The FCF rules out the competitions returning on January 10th

Looking at the picture, it was hard to think that football, considered amateur, and also grassroots football, as well as all indoor football competitions, would return to activity on the weekend of 9 and 10 January. This was the intention of the Catalan Football Federation (FCF), an organization that has ended up going backwards by surrendering to the evidence. In a statement issued yesterday, he ruled out definitively that the ball could roll again during the dates it initially contemplated.

No surprise, given the context. The Federation justified having made this decision because so far there has been no variation in terms of safety and prevention measures applied in sport to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. This is the case, for example, of the use of the mask during collective physical activity in closed spaces, the prohibition of the dispute of competitive and friendly matches, or also the limitation of regional mobility and the curfew. between ten in the evening and six in the morning.

Given that “there are no conditions necessary for the resumption of the championships”, the FCF chooses to continue waiting and in the same statement explains that once these restrictions are lifted an information round will be held in clubs and federations so that competitions can be resumed in the fastest and most effective way.
