The CBE Ciudad de Córdoba organizes the second Basketball Equality Tournament

The Christmas holidays are a perfect time to celebrate events with the smallest of protagonists. This is how the CBE Ciudad de Córdoba has understood it, which, like last year, organizes the II Tournament for Equality, which will bring together on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 at the facilities of the University of Córdoba on the Menéndez Pidal campus to various basketball teams from the capital and the province.

The event is part of its values ​​education project Making an Equal Goal and has the institutional support of the Delegation of Equality of the Provincial Council. During the year, a series of events and activities have already been carried out in the club’s firm commitment to equality and its firm commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda (Goal 5: Gender Equality): campaigns of awareness, visibility of campaigns promoted by public institutions, the II Woman and Sport Photography Contest … that live their point and apart with this tournament.



He Cordoba city considers it essential that all sectors of society work for equality between women and men, and for the elimination of discrimination based on sex or sexual orientation, as well as that from the world of sport education and necessary aspects are promoted to achieve effective equality and the empowerment of women. Thus, the club will continue working to transmit and instill values ​​in its members, promoting equality in school sports.

Different women’s and mixed teams from the capital and the province (La Carlota, El Carpio and Fuente Palmera) in the premini, mini and infant categories, together with the federated teams of the City of Córdoba will participate in the II Tournament for Equality, with the aim of enjoying basketball and promoting different values. The covid-19 pandemic has forced to reduce the number of participants and their structure to follow the protocols established by the Andalusian Basketball Federation (FAB), with the firm intention of continuing Making an Equal Goal.
