The brilliant idea of Bilbao: bubbles for every spectator… April fools!

Bilbao Basket had announced that it had found an immediate and very original solution to have an audience in the Bilbao Arena: the BuBBle project. It was about installing individual bubbles for his fans, in order to have a capacity of 2,537 spectators for the derby against Acunsa GBC. The health authorities had apparently welcomed the initiative, which the club hoped to be approved in the coming days.

The bubble had to be made entirely from recycled materials and incorporated the spectator’s seat.

“For hygiene reasons, each bubble will be personal and non-transferable, so no spectator can use two different bubbles. It will be disinfected at the end of each game. It is a surface isolated from the outside, so inside, the use of a mask will not be mandatory. Bilbao Basket is also working on a program for recycling telephone booths in rural areas so that in addition to this initiative, the hall can reach 75% of its capacity in January. ”

But it is in fact a… April Fool’s Day celebrated in Spain on the “Day of the Saints of the Innocents”. Well done because we walked thoroughly!
