The athlete of the Albacete Badminton Club, Miguel Serrano, receives congratulations from the entire province on his visit to the Provincial Council – News of Albacete

Miguel Serrano Fernández, from the Albacete Badminton Club, was received this Friday at the Albacete Provincial Council by the deputy in charge of the Sports area, Dani Sancha who, on behalf of all the residents of the province, has transferred so much the congratulations as the pride that athletes wake up who, like him, do not stop surpassing day by day.

And it is that Serrano became, last weekend in the Murcian town of Las Torres de Cotillas, individual Champion of Spain and runner-up of Spain in men’s doubles in the senior category, managing to maintain one more year at the top of the national ladder at Albacete Badminton Club and adding, personally, a new achievement to its record.

And it is that, if during his absolute stage, Serrano managed to be Champion of Spain in men’s doubles (in 1988), absolute runner-up of Spain in men’s doubles (in 1989 and 1990), and was part of the absolute Spanish team on three occasions in official competitions, the results achieved have continued to increase in their journey in the senior stage.

For example, he has been more than 15 times Champion of Spain in the individual, doubles and mixed modalities and has integrated the senior Spanish team in two European Championships and one in the World. During this time in the Albacete Provincial Council, Sancha has valued this trajectory of effort and constant improvement and has praised the ability of Serrano (and, in general, of the ‘family’ of the Albacete Athletics Club) for maintaining such a demanding level of results, even in the middle of a year so atypical and complicated also for sports practice as this 2020 is being.
