Romain Grosjean announces end of F1 career after horrific …

Romain Grosjean has announced in a video on his social media that the injuries sustained during his terrible crash at the Bahrain GP will also miss the final race of the 2021 F1 season.

Grosjean had hoped to be able to participate in the race, but that depended largely on the extent to which the burns on his hands would heal. However, on doctor’s advice, Grosjean decided not to participate in the Abu Dhabi GP.

This decision also immediately ends Romain Grosjean’s F1 career. Grosjean made his debut with the Renault F1 team in 2009 and started an F1 race 179 times. In total he captured 391 points and 10 podium places. Besides Renault, Grosjean also drove for the Lotus F1 team and the Haas F1 team.
