The Caracol Radio journalist, Diego Rueda, announced on his Twitter account that the Chilean and Colombian soccer federations, and the Caleño coach had reached an agreement for Rueda to lead the Colombian National Team:
The Colombian Football Federation, Reinaldo Rueda and the Chilean Federation reached an agreement for the coach to direct our country towards Qatar 2022. Legal terms are lacking and the announcement will be made in the next few hours.

The specialized portal Futbolred reports that Reinaldo Rueda “agreed to his definitive separation from the Chilean team with Pablo Milad, president of the ANFP.”
The idea is that the lawyers of both federations have the paperwork ready so that there are no contractual problems later, the newspaper said.
The negotiation was achieved on the edge of the deadline, as the Colombian strategist had only one day to define his situation, but he took all the time necessary to make a smooth transition.
Fernando Jaramillo, president of Dimayor, told El País de Cali that indeed “only financial details remain for it to be a fact.”
The official announcement would be made in the next few hours, according to the Cali newspaper, which would start the second cycle of Rueda in command of the National Team of our country (the first was during the 2006 World Cup qualifiers), in order to recover to the team of the last two painful defeats, which cost the previous strategist, the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz, his place.
Media such as La Tercera de Chile also confirmed the fact, as evidenced by the following trill:
