The 32-year-old Brazilian winger was brought in by Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer transfer market this year on a free basis. However, every week Arsenal pays 220 thousand pounds, equivalent to Rp4, 1 billion.

Since making his debut with Arsenal, Willian has only contributed one assist in 15 matches. Even more worrying, Willian has only scored one shot on target in the last 12 matches.
“Only one shot on target in 12 games, the fans are fed up with Willian, and the club pays him 220 thousand a week,” wrote Daily Mail, Saturday (26/12/2020).
Willian is increasingly in the spotlight because Arsenal will host Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium, London, Sunday (27/12/2020) in the early hours of Indonesian time. Some thought this match should prove Willian’s quality – but not a few thought otherwise.
For example, a former Arsenal player himself, Paul Merson, urged Mikel Arteta not to play Willian at Chelsea’s home game. Merson thought that Willian had lost his ability.
