OM is in ambush for Timothy Fosu-Mensah

“You have to invent operations, be creative. For the winter transfer window, you have to be imaginative ”. In the columns of Provence this Monday, Pablo Longoria drew up the roadmap for the winter transfer window of Olympique de Marseille. The sporting director of the Marseille team is therefore on the lookout for any opportunity to be seized. And one of them is in England if we believe the information of Sky Sports.

The Phocéens would have positioned themselves on the Timothy Fosu-Mensah file (22 years old). The young Dutch international (3 caps) is at the end of his contract in June 2021 with Manchester United and OM have obviously decided to try their luck, just like Hertha Berlin. Sky Sports explains that the two courtiers would be willing to launch an offer for his transfer in January.

Fosu-Mensah hesitates

For their part, the Red Devils have just submitted a proposal for an extension until June 2024. However, the Amsterdam native, on loan in the past to Crystal Palace (2017/18) and Fulham (2018/19), is asks serious questions in view of his low playing time under the orders of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (only 1 start in the Premier League this season, 2 entries in the Champions League).

The ball is therefore clearly in the camp of the versatile defender (1m91, 79 kg), winner of the Europa League in 2017 with his training club, who can move to the right as well as to the axis. The Olympique de Marseille is in any case showing its ambitions by trying to go to its market near Old Trafford.
