Official: PSG says goodbye to trainer Thomas Tuchel | Ligue 1

French sports newspaper L’Equipe knew almost a week ago that Thomas Tuchel would be flying, but PSG waited a few more days to launch the news itself. “After a thorough analysis of the sporting situation, we have decided to end the cooperation”, it sounds.

Tuchel joined Unai Emery in July 2018. Just like his predecessor, he – almost naturally – won numerous trophies in France itself, but the German also managed to guide PSG to the final of the Champions League, which it did lose to Bayern.

This season, things are going pretty tough at PSG. After 17 match days, it is even in 3rd place in the league, although barely 2 points behind leader Lyon. Mauricio Pochettino, the ex-trainer of Tottenham, among others, is the overwhelming favorite to succeed Tuchel.
