NFL player invites fans to drink wine with him (online)

The NFL came close to disaster on Tuesday night when it detected a case of COVID-19 among the Baltimore Ravens in the middle of a warm-up session before the game between them. Veteran receiver Dez Bryant was unable to participate in the meeting as he tested positive for the virus.

Shocked by the news, Bryant first said he would not be returning to the game this season, elated by the health process that comes with the pandemic. It didn’t take long for him to change his mind, knowing full well that his career could end if he doesn’t take advantage of his current chance in Baltimore.

What’s special is that Bryant took advantage of the meeting (in which he was not participating, I call him back) to organize a virtual drinking party with the amateurs.

With the cup in hand himself, he invited Twitter users to send him a photo with their drink.

There followed a series of responses that showed that whoever has been absent from the NFL for more than two full seasons still has a partisan base very inclined to share with him.

Ironically, this is probably the highlight of the season for the 32-year-old wide receiver, who spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Dallas Cowboys.

He only took part in three Ravens meetings in 2020 and captured only four balls with sporadic appearances on the field.
