Quarterback Derek Carr is hoping to be in his job for the Las Vegas Raiders after leaving last week’s game with a groin injury.

Carr took part in a few drills on Tuesday, five days after leaving the game against the Los Angeles Chargers with a first quarter injury. He’s shared rehearsals with reserve quarterback Marcus Mariota, as the Raiders (7-7) prepare to face the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night.

“I’m here every time I’m allowed to undergo treatment and all that, all that testing,” Carr said. I want everyone to know about my condition. We will see how it progresses. But if it is only for me, I will do everything to be on the ground (Saturday). “

Carr has played injured before, and besides, he’s only missed two starts in seven seasons in the NFL. He broke his ankle during the 16th week of NFL activity in 2016, preventing him from making the playoffs for the first time in his career, and he missed only one game in 2017 after being fractured a vertebra.

Carr even played a full season with a sports hernia with Fresno State University in 2012. So, he will do everything in his power to be in his job for Raiders head coach Jon Gruden on Saturday.
