Neimara’s ankle injury “could have been worse”

PSG had previously stated that “the clinical finding after yesterday’s left ankle sprain is reassuring.”

“These tears are pain, fear, anxiety, surgery, crutches and other bad memories,” Neimars wrote in an Instagram story alongside a picture of him grabbing his ankle with tears in his eyes.

It is known that Neymar has broken his foot twice since joining the French champions in 2017.

“It could have been worse, but again, God saved me from something heavier,” the footballer added. “I’ll recover and get back to the field as soon as possible.”

The announcement is a positive news for PSG after an unsuccessful Sunday match in which it lost first place to Ligue 1 after moving to 0-1 in Lyon’s Olympique, which also climbed the tournament table above the capital’s club, moving to Lille.

The Brazilian midfielder of the Lyon unit, Tag Mendess, who was dismissed for the offense that injured Neimar, “Instagram” apologized to his compatriot.

“Mistakes happen, but I sincerely apologize to Neimar. Like the entire Brazilian football community, I admire the football he plays and I hope it is not a serious injury,” he writes in his account.

Qatar’s investment-based PSG is confident that Neimars will be on the pitch on February 16 in the Champions League quarter-finals against “slipping” “Barcelona”.

It will be another opportunity for the French unit to avenge the shocking demolition of Remontada against the Barcelona unit in 2017.

After a 4-0 victory in the French capital, PSG suffered a 1: 6 wreck at the Camp Nou Stadium, with the Barcelona orchestra conducting Neimar, who joined the Paris club with a world transfer record (€ 222 million) at PSG a few weeks later.

On Sunday night, Neimar’s father demanded more yellow cards from his opponents for a ceremonial game against the 28-year-old footballer.

PSG has caught an avalanche of injuries, disqualifications and Covid-19 cases this season, hurting coach Thomas Tuhel to achieve better results.

Despite a large investment in the club since Qatar Sports Investments bought it in 2011, PSG has not yet won the most valuable prize in European club competitions, although it dominates Ligue 1 with players such as Neymar and French star Kilian Mbape.

Last season, PSG reached the final, but lost to Bayern Munich with 0: 1, scoring a goal for PSG youth system Kingsley Coman.
