The Michigan Wolverines and Nebraska Cornhuskers meet Friday in college basketball action from Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Michigan go into the game 6-0 so far. The Wolverines have eliminated UCF, Toledo and Penn State in their last three games. As for Nebraska, they sit at 4-4 this year. The Cornhuskers are 1-3 in their last four games and have lost to Wisconsin. Check back all season for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Michigan advance this year with five double-digit wins and a close breakout. The Wolverines knocked out Bowling Green, Oakland, Ball State and UCF to start the season 4-0. In the final pair, Michigan beat Toledo 91-71 and Penn State 62-58.

In the win over the Nittany Lions, Michigan’s top scorer was Hunter Dickinson with 20 points, seven rebounds and an assist. Isaiah Livers added 10 points with six tables and two assists, and Eli Brooks was also in double digits with 12 points, four rebounds and two assists.

On the Nebraska side, the season has been uneven so far. The Cornhuskers started a 3-1, falling to Nevada while beating McNeese State, ND State and South Dakota. Since then, there has been a 1-3 run for the Cornhuskers, beating Doane and falling to Georgia Tech 75-64, Creighton 98-74 and Wisconsin 67-53.

In the loss to the Badgers, Dalano Banton of Nebraska scored 15 points with eight rebounds and four assists. Teddy Allen had 11 points, an assist and a rebound, and Trey McGowens was also in double digits with 10 points, six rebounds and two assists.

The Cornhuskers are 1-6 CEP in their last seven games after a direct loss and 2-10 CEP in their last 10 home games. Nebraska is 3-9 CEP in its last 12 games overall and the most is 17-5 in Friday’s last 22 games.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last five games after an ATS loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven as favorites. Michigan is 3-7 CEP in its last 10 road games against a team with a winning record at home and the Most are 4-0 in their last four games on Friday.

TO CHOOSE: I’m staying with Nebraska here. The Wolverines have presumably managed the first five games on their schedule, but Penn State gave them a bit of a scare with the four-point win. The Lions passed Michigan on the glass, registering 13 offensive rebounds against all four of the Wolverines. Michigan also spat 16 turnovers in this one, so there’s a lot to clean up in this game. Nebraska were beaten pretty hard by Wisconsin in their last game, but they had some good scores this year and I think the Cornhuskers can stay away for this one.
